Capitol Consulting Group and the Buckeye Art Therapy Association
join together to advocate for art therapy in Ohio
Capitol Consulting Group, Inc. (CCG) is excited to partner with the Buckeye Art Therapy Association (BATA) to help pass legislation to create an art therapy license in Ohio. CCG has been one of the ‘go-to’ lobbying firms in Columbus for nearly two decades; our team of seasoned veterans has more than 50 years of experience and significant knowledge of state government. Our diverse client list ranges from healthcare and medical providers to corporate and financial institutions, as well as non-profit and charitable organizations. We have a strong record of success for our clients and are eager to advocate for BATA and art therapists throughout Ohio.
While the entire CCG stands ready to assist BATA, the point person will be Daniel Hurley. Danny brings extensive state budget and Congressional experience to CCG. After graduating from The Ohio State University Danny went to work for former U.S. Senator George V. Voinovich, working in both the Columbus and DC offices. Following Senator Voinovich’s retirement in 2011 Danny returned to Ohio and went to work for State Senator Chris Widener, who was chairman of the powerful Senate finance Committee at the time. Danny worked extensively on critical legislation including JobsOhio, the Governor’s Operating Budget, and the Governor’s Mid-Biennium review.
Danny joined CCG in June of 2012, where he oversees the firm’s healthcare, education, and financial services portfolios. He has a strong understanding of healthcare and Medicaid issues, k-12 and higher education funding and policy, and the state budget process. Danny’s contact information is as follows:
