  • Participants will understand when it is appropriate to use a quantitative design, qualitative design, or mixed methods approach.
  • Participants will understand the benefits and limitations of both quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Participants will review articles and discuss the use of quantitative and qualitative studies for informing their practice as counselors.
  • An experiential intervention will be used for exploration of ways participants plan to use research in their practices.
