BATA / Buckeye Art Therapy Association
Membership
BATA membership is open to individuals who make a written application to BATA's Membership Chair, meet membership eligibly requirements, and pay the appropriate dues. BATA's membership year is January 1-December 31, annually.
As an art therapist, student, interested professional, friend, or supporting organization, BATA eagerly invites you to become a member of our Association.
It is BATA’s hope that you will commit to supporting the efforts of our association and the Ohio art therapy community through submitting your dues contribution and be a part of one of the strongest chapter affiliates of The American Art Therapy Association (AATA).

Please note a $10.00 late fee will be charged for
renewing
BATA members after March 1.
Publication Subscription Fee
All BATA members receive electronic publications as part of their membership.
Paper USPS mailings of BATA's newsletters and membership directory require an annual $20.00 subscription fee that covers postage, paper, and cost of printing.
Please add this amount to your dues and payment if choosing this preference.
Please note that all BATA members must be members of the
American Art Therapy Association
in the equivalent membership class. Individuals not eligible for AATA membership or who are not AATA members, may join BATA as a "Friend of BATA.”
BATA membership dues should be paid/sent directly to BATA.

Associate

Individuals interested in the therapeutic use of art and who wish to support the purposes and objectives of BATA. This category is not open to Master's level art therapy program graduates. AATA Membership required.
Contributing
- $50.00 (USD)
Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st
No recurring payments
Individuals, organizations, institutions or foundations which contribute annually to the
association may be eligible for a contributing membership. Contributing members shall be entitled to receive all official publications and to attend the annual meeting, but shall not have the right to vote or hold office.
Credentialed Professional
- $35.00 (USD)
Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st

Individuals who have been dually approved for professional membership by the AATA and registration (ATR) and/or board certification (ATR-BC) by the ATCB. This category includes receiving all official publications, to attend meetings, the right to vote, hold office, and serve on committees. AATA membership required.
Friend of BATA
- $30.00 (USD)
Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st

Individuals who are not A.A.T.A. members and do not therefore meet qualifications for
Credentialed Professional and Active Professional, memberships may become a supporting Friend of B.A.T.A. Friends shall be entitled to receive all official publications, to attend meetings, but shall not have the right to vote, hold office, or serve on a committee.
Friend of BATA Associate

Friend of BATA Student

Students who are NOT AATA members but wish to be members of BATA.
Friends shall be entitled to receive all official publications, to attend meetings, but shall not have the right to vote, hold office, or serve on a committee.
Honarary Life Member

Subscription period: Unlimited
This membership category may be conferred upon any member of B.A.T.A. in recognition of distinguished service in the field of art therapy and to the purposes and objectives of BATA. Honorary Life Members shall have all the rights and privileges of Active Professional membership without the payment of annual dues.
Professional
- $35.00 (USD)
Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st

Individuals who have completed graduate level education and training in art therapy. This
category includes receiving all official publications, to attend meetings, the right to vote hold office, and serve on committees. AATA membership required.
Retired
- Variable
Subscription period: Unlimited
B.A.T.A. members who have reached the age of sixty-five (65) and who are no longer engaged in active practice may be granted a retired membership. Retired members shall be entitled to attend meetings, but shall not have the right to vote or hold office.
Retired members may serve on committees as the B.A.T.A. Board may from time to time delegate.
Student
- $15.00 (USD)
Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st
No recurring payments
Individuals who do not meet the qualifications of professional membership and who are currently taking courses in art therapy or a related field may be eligible for Student membership. Student members shall be entitled to receive all official publications and to attend meetings, but shall not have the right to vote or hold office.
Student members may serve on such committees as the B.A.T.A. Board may from time to time delegate. AATA membership
required.
