Through this keynote address, Dr. Wadeson will present from her perspective as an art therapist and from the subjective vantage point of her own cancer diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Wadeson will highlight the importance of creative self- expression through writing and imagery when faced with the many challenges of a major illness.
Symposium Workshop | The Impact of Illness of Self-Image | September 28, 2013, 2 hours
Through this workshop, Dr. Wadeson will explore the change that serious illness and other life crises can have on self-image. Participants will learn about the importance of art making in examining self-image and its changes by exploring this phenomenon through their own art making.
